The volume of the design is conditioned by the surrounding buildings of the Hansaviertel and cut by the next by flowing past railway. The tapered shape consists of different puzzle pieces which have been, based on a grid, stuck together, giving a look similar to the Tetris game. Due to the shape and the placement of the different Tetris shapes within the grid, each is different, generating a diversity of individual sized apartment.
Together with the public functions of some training rooms for the next by the theater. A kindergarten, and a playground and a shared work space, located in the arcs under the railway. The building forms a colorful addition to the existing housing structure of the quarter. The two first floors of the building, which contain the public functions, maintain underneath the level of the next by a running train. Between the embankment of the train and the buildings, there is an intimate passage, which benefits from its location and is activated through the function of the theater and kindergarten on the one side and the playground and workspace on the other side. Above, four more storeys of living spaces complete the building. The upper levels of the building are accessed by an attached arcade, which also protects the apartments from the noise of the train.
